Learn all about amazing Matcha and how to make it at home!

Join us for this fun hands on workshop at our cafe Saturday September 30th 11am-1pm with lunch served at noon. Enjoy a traditional serving of organic Yame matcha and a plant based tasting spread hosted by Michiko Ono of Matsukaze Tea and Wholelifego.

Matsu Kaze Tea was established in 2011 and specializes in importing authentic fine tea and teaware produced in Japan. Michiko Ono, co-owner of Matsu Kaze Tea and our tea expert, is a certified Nihoncha (Japanese Tea) Instructor and Tea Sommelier with both the Japanese and Canadian Tea Associations. She’s been also a Japan Tea Good Will Ambassador for Canada since 2016 for the Nihoncha (Japanese Tea) Instructor Association and the Japan Tea Export Council in Tokyo. She is a Tea Ceremony practitioner in the Omote Senke school as well.

Our Japanese teas are imported directly from tea farmers and/or tea regions in Japan such as Shizuoka, Kyoto, Mie, Fukuoka, Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures. Learn more about Matsukaze here or visit Wholelifego cafe where you can find a selection of their organic teas available year round.
